Perfect harmony

For many years, Counterintuity had been an integral part of the Symphony’s extended family. We had extensive experience in arts marketing and a deep understanding of the Symphony’s year-round marketing plan. (Not to mention we designed and developed their award-winning website you see above.) So, implementing what’s essentially free PPC advertising for nonprofits was right up our alley.

In short order, we were able to devise and deploy a nonprofit PPC campaign that converted interest in the group’s offerings directly into ticket sales.

Google Grants is a program that provides eligible nonprofits with up to $10,000 per month in free Google Ads advertising to promote their missions and initiatives on Google search result pages. While cost-effective, the challenge of crafting, managing, and updating campaigns is daunting, especially given the tight restrictions Google places on the program and how it’s used. For a small organization like the Pasadena Symphony, with its limited staffing, this could easily have become an overwhelming task.

Music to our ears

Promoting over 40 concerts, we achieved 46,356 clicks, 1.65M impressions, and an impressive 2.81% click-through rate. Perhaps more telling is the cost efficiency of these results — the Symphony’s investment remained at zero, against the backdrop of what would have been over $69,000 in ad spend.
