When designing CRCD’s Annual Report for the third year in a row, Counterintuity was faced with a familiar problem: the bar was set really, really high. Not only was the client expecting yet another impressive concept and design, but they’d accomplished so much that fitting it all on 20 pages seemed almost impossible. While making five years’ worth of data aesthetically pleasing is no easy task, it was necessary to visually demonstrate that CRCD had successfully achieved its many goals – and we were prepared to put in the work.
Luckily, we’ve got some great creative minds on our team. During a strategy call with the client, we recognized a common theme throughout CRCD’s journey: consistently “leveling up” to enhance their program, assets and community. Knowing video games resonated with their youth program in 2020 more than ever, we worked that into the design concept and header messaging.
